AHK MASS OATHTAKING A SUCCESS

February 5, 2011 - More than 600 Aim High Kabataan Members all over General Santos City attended the very first Mass Oath taking held at the Oval Covered Court of this city.

AHK strong and proud

Started with less than 10 members when it was created February 2007 (click this for related post); after four years of its existence the Aim High Kabataan's membership grew to more than 600. Today, every barangay of the city has its chapter with their own set of officers making Aim High Kabataan visible through out the city.

The program includes the ratification of the groups Constitution-and-by-laws, oath taking of all the members, federation officers and presidents per chapter.

Gracing the event are: 1st Congressional District of South Cotabato Representative, Hon. Pedro B. Acharon Jr, General Santos City Mayor, Hon. Darlene Antonino-Custodio, City Councilors, Hon. Beth Bagonoc, Hon. Virgie Llido and Hon. Eduardo Leyson.

Rep. Acharon conducted the Oath Taking of the Federation Officers

AHK would like to thank the following: Representatives Office, City Mayors Office, YADO, Sports, City Agri, GSO, Prints & You, IDEAS, Tau Gamma Phi Sorority/Fraternity, AIM Barangay Leaders, Ms. Gay Llido-Velasquez, Ms. Myrna Mejorada

STORY TELLING SA CITY HALL SA BARANGAY ON THE ROLL

Launched late last year, an addition program of City Hall sa Barangay of General Santos City is the STORY TELLING PROJECT. A pet project of Mayor Darlene Antonino-Custodio, she tapped the Aim High Kabataan to implement the program.

For the parents to enjoy the government services being offered during City Hall sa Barangay, the Story Telling Program for the kids tagged along by their parents is of great help. The parents may leave their children, as the Aim High Kabataan tell stories, share good values, keep the children entertained while their parents line up for the government services like free medical check-up, dental services, legal assistance and other services the government has to offer.

The City Hall sa Barangay happens every FRIDAY at a scheduled Barangay in General Santos City.
